Some people do it instinctively, while others need to cultivate the ability. The Lottery lady should see herself picking the numbers and being overjoyed to find that she has won. Since she has not won before, she must be able cultivate mentally the strong idea that she could win.

Some people put their faith in performing repetitive activities to improve their luck. The Lottery Lady may use the same pen every time she fills in the lottery slip. She does this because her sister used that pen the one time that she had a lottery win. But she is just using the pen to strengthen her belief in a possible win. She uses it as a lucky charm. She is stopping short of using the most powerful way of increasing the strength of her belief.

Smell the Sweat. Hear the Crowd Roar.

Most of your experience comes to you through your sense organs. You must use these everyday ways of picking up information to give flesh and color to your vizualizations. If you want more money you must be able to imagine its smell, its feel, its sound. It may take more effort to see yourself touching the edge of a thousand dollar bill to your tongue–but try it! See not only the bills themselves, but also your bank book with all those zeroes following a high digit.

If employment is your goal, you can easily imagine the experiences that you’ll enjoy with your newly found security. Smell that steak, feel the soft leather seats in your new car, taste the lobster and see your great new living quarters. Hear your family happily enjoying the fruits of your labor.

You can learn how to improve your luck. It takes a bit of effort to force your mind into thinking in this way. This is especially true if your luck has been poor at best. But it is worth the effort, and it pays off for the people who take the time to perfect it.
