How To Build Self Confidence

Now that the world has been influenced by wealth, power and such material needs, personal and spiritual growth has become a phenomenal task. Electronic advancements, new and sophisticated tools and equipments which were originated to make life convenient are now jeopardizing our basic ideas and perceptions. Our basic needs have been transformed into more complex and multifaceted worldly desires. Exposure to the print and electronic media and credit goes to the internet which has greatly contributed to tangle up our fundamental concepts of self-esteem and self-respect.

All these contributions have made it difficult to balance out the divine and the earthly aspects of our life in this world.

All major religions of the world agree that the purpose of man is to serve their creator. Many theories and studies indicate every life on earth has a meaning or a purpose. Whether we consider our fate divine or our life independent, for spiritual and personal growth we need to find the reason for our existence. We are not born with a purpose but learn by the knowledge we gain in the world, the experiences we have, our relationships and the way we act and react to the past and present encounters. Looking back on these things also give us the ability to build self confidence.

When someone is trying to understand the purpose of existance, its normal to let go of some old beliefs and adopt some new ones. Once we can determine why we exist, we can then have all our physical, emotional and spiritual needs satisfied. Our life gets a meaning and we have a purpose to exist for.

All creations are inter-connected, living or non-living. We need to rely very heavily on other creatures if we are to survive and grow ourselves. Our existence depends on them and theirs on ours. The realization of this concept makes one modest and considerate to the fellow beings (Humans, Plants, animals and the rest of the nature). Every creature has its own importance in this world.

Once we learn what connections we have with teh rest of our world and respect them, we can truely develop ourselves. Once we have developed ourselves enough, developing self esteem gets easier.
