Designer Glasses can Look Great as Well as Being Good For Your Eyes
Choosing new glasses or sunglasses changes the way you look. Not only do glasses help you to see better, but they can be a fashion statement too.You have to be comfortable in your glasses and confident that you look good too, which explains why so many people are choosing to buy designer glasses and designer sunglasses nowadays.
There are literally hundreds of designer styles, shapes, materials, colours and sizes available nowadays. It can be a bit overwhleming deciding between so many different styles. If you’re buying designer glasses obviously it’s important to think about the image you want to give. If you mostly wear glasses at work, then you might want to look at a more sober, traditional, classic pair of glasses. If you want to make a statement and go for bright unrestrained glasses there are dozens of recognised designer brands out there, including Prada glasses for example that combine an intrinsic sense of style with the name recognition that is more of a fashion and lifestyle statement. Whichever way you lean, choose designer glasses to suit the shape of your face and not just your outfits or your desired social standing. This is just as important when deciding on designer sunglasses.
If you’ve got a square face then round or oval style frames will probably suit you best. If you have a broad forehead tapering to a small chin and mouth try smaller styles, slender rounded or square with lower set sides. Don’t go for a style which widens at the top as they will only exaggerate your face shape, as will frames with decoration at the sidse or temples. Wider styles suit those with wider foreheads, full cheeks and a rounded face.Large frames or small round ones will only exaggerate the roundness of your face.
The face that suits any style is oval shaped with a wide forehead, high cheekbone and curved jawline, if this is you, you can take the pick of the bunch. Long faces with high cheekbones and a deep forehead will suit wide frames and a strong top line. A larger, square frame will help ‘balance’ a long oval face, although you should avoid small square shapes. If you have a relatively narrow forehead and eye line, broadening into the jaw line, then pick bold or adventurous designer styles to add balance, but steer clear of small narrow frames.
With designer sunglasses in particular, remember that, aside from making you look good, the primary role of these items is still to protect your eyes from the harmful effects of UV radiation. If you can, try the glasses on for comfort, style and feel.Lastly never forget that although a designer label is a fashion statement, at the end of the day it’s only your own opinion that matters, as long as you feel comfortable with your choice it’s the right one!

Healthy Aging: A Lifelong Guide To Your Physical And Spiritual Well-Being $16.29 Spontaneous Healing . . . Eight Weeks to Optimum Health . . . Eating Well for Optimum Health . . . The Healthy Kitchen -in each of his widely acclaimed, best-selling books, Dr. Andrew Weil has been an authoritative and companionable guide through a uniquely effective combination of traditional and nontraditional approaches to health and healthy living. Now he gives us a book about aging that is unlike any other in the breadth and depth of its information and understanding. Hugely informative, practical, and uplifting, it is infused with the engaging candor and common sense that have been the hallmarks of all his books. At the heart of Healthy Aging is Dr. Weil’s belief that although aging is an irreversible process, there are myriad things we can do to keep our minds and bodies in good working order through all phases of life. To that end, he draws on the new science of biogerentology (the biology of aging) as well as on the secrets of healthy longevity- diet, activity, and attitude-that he has gathered firsthand from cultures around the world. In Part One-"The Science and Philosophy of Healthy Aging"-he explains how the body ages, and he explores the impact of gender, genes, environment, and lifestyle on an individual’s experience and perception of the process of aging. He describes the various would-be elixirs of life extension-herbs, hormones, and antiaging "medicines"-separating myth from fact and clearly delineating the difference between the spurious notions of preventing or reversing the process of aging and the real possibilities of inhibiting or delaying the onset of diseases that become more likely as we age. He writes movingly about the ways in which an acceptance of aging can be a significant part of doing it well, and of recognizing and appreciating the great rewards of growing older: depth and richness of experience, complexity of being, serenity, wisdom, and its own kind of power and grace. In Part Two-"How to Age Gracefully"-Weil details an easy-to-implement Anti-inflammatory Diet that will protect the immune system and aid your body in resisting and adapting to the changes that time brings. And he provides extensive practical advice on exercise; preventive health care; stress management; physical, mental, and emotional flexibility; and spiritual enhancement-all of which can help you achieve and maintain the best health throughout the lifelong process of aging. Healthy Aging -a book for people of all ages-is Andrew Weil’s most important and far-reaching book yet. From the Hardcover edition. |
